Hello,
Internally, I don’t know why I launched it, but it weighed heavily on my heart to do it. I started my podcast about seven months ago, “Offstage with Jordan Baylor,” an interview series podcast that interviews people not living an ordinary life.
(It’s an awesome show btw, but I am kinda biased)
I wanted to talk to people who were in pursuit of their dreams.
People who are taking the wheel of life and turning it to the destination of their choice.
We published one of the most important interviews of the podcast series.
We got an opportunity to interview Mike Cunsolo, the Chief Marketing Officer of Podcast.Co (a podcast hosting platform.)
He is hilarious and down to Earth guy who dropped a lot of gems on me about resistance. The most important thing I learned was that Mike said one crucial thing.
Mike said “People, don’t stick with things. If you’re going to start any venture or quest in life give it at least a minimum of 3 years before you start looking for results.”
That shocked me he said 3 Years Minimum?
Then I realized going for your goals or big dreams.
The ones that lie in your heart.
When you go after your true self.
You are getting a degree to level up and become the person that achieves that goal.
You have to do things you never did before.
Learn things you never thought you’d have to learn.
Experience pain growth.
Go through failure…. all of it to become that person who can handle the pressure, and success of your goal.
Your graduation is when you attain success is in your given field.
My point of all this is to say that you should go for it, and don’t look back.
Honestly, three years minimum should not frighten you; in fact, it should empower you.
If your goal HONESTLY, is what you want to do with your life. Three Years should not feel like a waste of time.
The goal that makes your heart sing.
The thing you need to be doing that might upset others, but honestly, who cares.
That’s how they feel, and you sitting on the sideline will make you feel like crap, but them better?
In what world does that make sense?
It’s your life.
Only you can sing the song of your life.
Only you can bring forth the things you see when you go to sleep.
So, go and begin to put in your 3 years.
I’ll see you on graduation day.
I don’t care how much money a person makes.
I care what they make.
Sincerely,
Jordan Baylor
