Productivity has 10x'd by doing this
Good Morning Creator,
Do you ever feel overwhelmed by life?
You ever feel as if your treading water but going in circles?
For one, stop being so hard on yourself.
Take a step back, and breathe.
This past week I was diagnosed with ADHD; it scared me but made so much sense.
I overpopulate my calendar, jump from task to task without getting much done. Multi focus and keep my mind overstimulated.
I was a mess.
I employed this one technique and have grown my productivity by 10x.
No, for real, I started measuring my productivity by writing down and monitoring my daily tasks. It’s very still too.
Just choose five big tasks to get done every day.
Here is what my lists tend to look like daily.
1. Write Email to List
2. Write three pages on a screenplay.
3. Study Email marketing for 45 minutes.
4. Product Copy for my e-commerce business
5. Record Podcast (2x a week)
Make sure these tasks move the needle. What I mean by that statement is to make sure they are activities that help propel you forward. Creatively, financially, or career-wise. You need to start to read where your time is going every day and measure if it is impactful for you or if you are doing busywork.
Once you have acknowledged your BIG FIVE for the day, knock those down, and anything accomplished in the day is pure gravy.
It deflates the overcomplicated and overtasked To-DO List.
