Writer Matthew Aldrich has been tapped to oversea the new productions of The Chronicles of Narnia for the streaming giant Netflix, by adapting the C.S. Lewis fantasy collection of books into movies and a series.
Aldrich, who is best known for co-writing Pixar’s Coco, received an Academy Award for best animated feature in 2018.
The Chronicles of Narnia is a series of seven fantasy novels by C. S. Lewis that follow the adventures of several children as they travel from our world to the mystical land of Narnia.

✍🏿‘The Boondocks’ is Back, Baby!
It was announced that a “re-imagining” of the animated series “The Boondocks” (in collaboration with creator/extraordinaire Aaron McGruder) is in the pipeline. “The Boondocks” reboot, will receive a much needed update to the classic satirical cartoon that has mystically identified and predicted the outcomes of many social situations-- before they were even situations!
The official synopsis is as follows:
The reboot chronicles the adventures of the Freeman family against the evil local government tyrant Uncle Ruckus, who rules the fictional Woodcrest County, Maryland with an iron fist.
The news was announced by Sony at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival.
✍🏿Lobo Is Coming
The DC Comics favorite anti-hero Lobo is finally receiving his much needed due as it was announced on Wednesday that Syfy networks is developing a spinoff of “Krypton” that will follow Lobo, “a foul-mouthed, dangerous, irascible, intergalactic bounty hunter.”
Emmett J. Scanlan will play Lobo in the Syfy series (as well as the spinoff) should the project get ordered to series.
