Good morning,
31 years ago today, I was born in an ambulance on the freeway.
I’ve seen this year in 2020 I feel like a living, breathing blessing.
I feel blessed to be alive, have freedom, and able to walk, talk, and not taking the little things for granted.
I’m celebrating my birthday over the next 5 days and giving you one lesson that I’ve learned that guides me back to it all.
It’s grounded me, and hopefully, it will enlighten you.
Lesson 1: Without your health, you have nothing.
Simple concept, but true.
If you can currently breathe without an oxygen machine, raise your hand.
* Take a deep breath in*
* Now exhale*
You are blessed beyond belief.
I visited a family member yesterday that is on a respirator and fighting for their life. They told me all they wanted for Christmas was “strength”
I do not understand what it is like to my strength and know that it very well may never come back. I can empathize, but it was at that moment I realized I take my health for granted.
Do you ever feel the same?
Here’s how to not take life for granted.
Go outside and feel life, appreciate the wonder of life that is before you. Don’t miss another day when you don’t live in awe of the little things.
We miss so much of life’s beauty just being wrapped up in the trappings of society, celebrity gossip, phone distractions, TikTok (no seriously).
Don’t blink your life away.
Give me the ultimate gift by taking a moment for yourself and realize just how beautiful and precious your life truly is.
