Grand Rising,
Life is the greatest teacher of all.
You can either take what holds you back or what you feel limits you and make it your superpower.
This weekend I watched a documentary about Randy “Macho Man” Savage it covered his life, his accomplishments, his failures, and his impact. When it began it touched on his troubled childhood and spoke about how he could never sit still.
He was diagnosed with learning disabilities because of his inability to sit still.
Can you believe this man above had a hard time sitting still?
They shamed Randy because of his frenetic, obsessive, and boundless energy.
Yet, It was that same energetic and obsessive behavior that drove him relentlessly.
It was that same energetic and obsessive behavior that allows him to go professional in not one but two sports.
Baseball ⚾️ and professional wrestling 🤼♀️
When he was a professional baseball player he tore his pectoral muscle in his right shoulder and could no longer pitch with his right hand. He taught himself how to pitch (at a professional level) with his left hand. Also, he became a switch hitter and stitch pitcher.
To this day I don’t know if that’s ever been done.
Hulk Hogan told stories of how he would get calls at 4 o clock ⏰ in the morning going over matches from the previous week.
In the calls, Macho man would talk about ways of improving the performance 🎭 improving his matches, and just improving the state of being RANDY SAVAGE.
Being obsessive was his superpower.
So why am I giving you a brief history of Randy “Macho Man” Savage?
I want you to see that the things you think are your CURSE, are actually your blessing.
It’s actually your superpower in disguise. It is the thing that sets you apart. The thing that gives you your mark.
The thing that people tell you are YOUR weaknesses is truly your superpower when harnessed correctly.
If you are interested you can watch the doc on the BIOGRAPHY channel.
It made me want to snap into a Slim Jim.
I don’t care how much money a person makes.
I care what they make.
Sincerely,
Jordan Baylor
