Good Day Creator,
Life is a game of Comfort and Uncomfortability.
Working a 9-5 = Manage Uncomfortableness
Doesn’t matter what the job is unless you are working for yourself. You probably wish you could do better things with your time.
EVEN IF YOU LOVE YOUR JOB.
Why do you work?
One you probably like food and shelter.
I have a question for you, are you getting uncomfortable for yourself?
What I mean by that is are you stretching yourself and stepping out on faith? Challenging yourself to overcome a hurdle.
Pushing yourself to do something that intimidates you.
Going for something you aren’t 100% sure you can achieve.
Reaching for heights you aren’t sure you’ll ever reach, but damned if you don’t give it a chance?
I came across this chart it breaks down how our comfort zone keeps us insulated, weak, afraid, and frail.
How everything we truly want out of life is outside of our COMFORT ZONE and it pushes us into the FEAR ZONE, then the LEARNING ZONE then ultimately the GROWTH ZONE.
You can study the chart below.
Get comfortable being uncomfortable.
Everything you want is on the other side of that self-limiting belief you possess.
You can do anything you put your mind to. What you view as a limit is merely your superpower. It’s what makes you unique and stand apart from the crowd.
For instance, you want to be a world-renowned public speaker that gives lectures across the globe, having millions of people flock to hear your thoughts.
One little problem…you have a crippling stuttering impediment.
Should you throw away your dreams?
NO, absolutely not.
You just need to figure out how your perceived “weakness” is actually your superpower which will propel you forward.
I want you to take on a new mantra whenever you feel a weakness is holding you back. Your new mantra is “The Obstacle Is the Way!”
So while you work on your stuttering issues there are other speakers whom you can model yourself after while working on your craft of writing speeches.
Maybe you find your gift is getting to the heart of a speech and being able to craft words in such a manner that moves people to tears.
Would you have found out that was your power without your so-called “weakness”?
Nope, you probably wouldn’t have.
You are human.
Therefore you are flawed, but there is beauty in every flaw.
Frame it properly for your perception.
I don’t care how much money a person makes.
I care what they make.
Sincerely,
Jordan Baylor
