We (almost) have a NEW Batman!
Although the ink on the Pattinson’s deal hasn’t dried just yet, the contract is “expected to be signed sealed and delivered very soon. Pattinson wouldn’t be the youngest Batman on the big screen, at 33 he is 2 yrs. younger than Christian Bale was when Batman Begins was released in 2005.
But if Pattinson is the choice, it would fulfill director Matt Reeves’ desire to tell a story about a younger Batman. Ben Affleck portrayed an older Bruce Wayne and that story spanned two decades as The Dark Knight.
I know there are people absolutely groaning at the fact that Pattinson is playing the beloved Bruce Wayne, but I think this is great casting. If you have not checked out Robert in what I believe is his best acting in the film, GOOD TIMES by the Safdie Brothers, please do so because I guarantee that you won’t be disappointed. Available on Amazon Prime streaming, it is an absolute rollercoaster of emotions as you watch Robert Pattinson melt into his character. Personally, I think Robert’s going to knock this out of the park.
The Batman is currently slated to hit theaters on June 25, 2021. Once the title role is locked down, I’m sure other casting announcements will follow … Who do you think would make a good Alfred or Commissioner Gordon?
I’m pumped for this film … how about you?

Chris Rock Rebooting “Saw” Franchise! Whaaat?
Yes, you read that headline correctly. Comedian Chris Rock is bringing fresh eyes to the future of the Saw franchise, as Rock wrote the story which is being adapted by screenwriters Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg. When asked what he thought of the Saw franchise as a whole:
Said Rock: “I’ve been a fan of Saw since the first film in 2004. I am excited by the opportunity to take this to a really intense and twisted new place.”
This is definitely not the first time we’ve seen comedians find potential success with horror. Late last year, the team behind HBO comedy “Eastbound & Down” Danny McBride and director David Gordon Green filmed “Halloween (2018) which garnered $254 million dollars at the box office.
I guess there is a thin line between comedy and horror and let us pray in unison that Rock brings the SHOCK this time. Lionsgate has dated the film for release on October 23rd, 2020.
Calling all BH90210 ‘True Fans’
Beverly Hills 90210 is going through a showrunner shakeup as writer Paul Sciarrotta has been handed the mantle from Patrick Sean Smith, FOX confirms.
The re-incarnation of the classic 90’s series Beverly Hills 90210, is being tooted and rebooted and assuming the title— BH90210 (which HONESTLY, sounds like an energy drink from the from the future to me).
Believe it or not there is serious thirst for this series as 40 year old mom’s are being transported to their high school days reliving and lusting after their favorite boy crush in the day.
The series teaser on youtube racked up 3 million views in the first 24 hours (sheesh) and all things line up as expected, the series will premiere August 7th, 2019 on Fox.
