Good Afternoon Creators,
Our minds run a 100 mph marathon daily from the moment you open your eyes until the second that you close them at night. Thoughts that are continuously racing at breakneck speeds.
The mind, while always moving, is actually running, processing, thinking, watching, creating, and structuring thoughts.
Sheesh, I’m tired, and I’ve only listed a few things that your brain does throughout a day.
We need to slow down.
And that’s the point of meditation.
The reason for it… to give our brain a break… to hit the pause button.
I have come across a piece of information that has helped me cut through the daily noise and has allowed me to see what is truly important.
It’s one question that you simply ask yourself, and it puts everything into perspective.
It places your thoughts, mind, and spirit on the level of importance that they deserve.
Sometimes our minds can make ideas and problems much more significant than they indeed are.
Can you even think of the biggest problem you had 3 months ago?…I’ll bet it either solved itself, or the outcome wasn’t NEARLY as bad as you made it out to be in your mind.
So what is this elusive question we should ask ourselves to move us towards what we are, want, and need and continually distance us away from all of our b.s. Distractions?
The question is, “Who Am I?”
Once you begin asking yourself that…
Everything outwardly will start pointing you towards the answer.
The outside world will start to direct you towards the correct path that aligns from within.
I came across an old notebook of mine and read notes, goals, things that I wanted to do… even song lyrics and random things that I was into.
It was a notebook loaded with old thoughts, jokes, and ambitions.
As I read the notebook, I paused and thought, “No way is that me.” I had forgotten who I used to be.
The question “Who am I?” when asked internally doesn’t wake up what we see in our outer world.
The truth is.
It wakes up what THAT is which you are seeking in life.
That which is calling you.
That which fits your true nature.
So practice to continually ask yourself throughout the day is “Who am I?” it might feel funny at first, but trust it will begin to connect, and clarity of your mind and world will expand on another level.
Trust the process.
Talk to you tomorrow…
Best,
