“Work less, make more.”
It sounds like a headline a youtube guru would use to get you to buy his new course. “Automate your income and make 7 figures in 30 days- work less, make more.”
What is a mantra I’ve decided to model myself after for the past two weeks, and it is an art form, to say the least!
It’s also something I’ve actively been working towards.
Working less, but making more.
That means that I’ve slowed down my output, my thoughts, and moved on a more calculated basis. Making movements and taking actions organically, and from a place of intention.
Seeing the end before I start a task.
Not splashing or flailing around in an internal place of frantic movement.
I don’t know if you’ve ever felt like you had to do something, just to do something…I hated that feeling.
Honestly, since I have adopted that mindset, the world is opening up to me on a more cosmic and intentional level. What I actively have been seeking and wanting has, in return, been seeking me as well.
Chasing me down.
I heard a quote from a yogi Sadhguru that the way to find out what your passion is, and what is essential to you is to think, “Will I care about this 25 years from now?”
I tweaked it and started to ask myself, “Will I care about this 5 months from now?”
And the vast amount of stuff I was doing the answer was a resounding “no….”
Then there was silence because nothing followed.
That mindset has helped me to realize that I was falling for the trappings of shiny object syndrome or just reacting to life and feeling like I need to make a move rather than actually wanting to do it.
So if you ever feel anxiety about an action or need to bring something down to a level that grounds its reality ask yourself.
“Is what I’m doing going to be important to me 25 years from now?”
“Will I be proud of this thing I’m doing 25 years from now?”
“Will I care about this 25 years from now?”
And if the answer is no, repurpose your internal compass and move towards what IS important.
Talk to you soon…
Best,
